Privacy Policy — Nimbus AI

Nimbus AI (“the Extension”) is a Chrome extension that provides a side-panel chat interface. This policy describes how information is handled when you use the Extension.

Information you provide

• Chat messages and prompts you type in the side panel.
• Files you attach (e.g. images, PDFs, text) for context in the chat.
• API configuration you enter in Settings (such as API base URL, model name, and API key) to connect the Extension to an AI service you choose.

How your information is used

The Extension sends your chat content (and attached file content processed in the browser) to the third-party AI API endpoint you configure (for example OpenAI-compatible providers). The developer of Nimbus AI does not operate that API and does not receive your chat content on our own servers.

Your API key and settings are stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s extension storage. They are not transmitted to the Extension developer except as part of normal Chrome Web Store distribution (which does not include your keys or chat).

Site access and automation

When you enable browser automation, the Extension can read and interact with web pages you visit, only to carry out actions you request through the chat. It does not sell your browsing data or use it for advertising.

Data retention

Chat history may be kept in the Extension’s local UI until you clear it. The Extension developer does not centrally store your conversations. Retention on the AI provider’s side is governed by that provider’s policies.

Children

The Extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
